Lego®Serious Play® for the Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg Mini-Entreprises
Since 2001, the Mini-Entreprises programme of the Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg (JEL) association has been set up in Luxembourg high schools to encourage innovation, creation and entrepreneurial initiatives among young high school students in secondary and technical secondary education.
This year, the association decided, for the first time, to set up a Creativity Camp at the Rockhal, to allow the pupils, on the one hand, to agree on a product or service idea for the creation of their mini-company, and on the other hand, to make them aware of the challenges you face when setting up a company, such as the creation of a business plan, organisation, production, sales or marketing.
To ensure that the Creativity Camp ran smoothly, the JEL called on MindForest to facilitate two Lego® Serious Play® workshops. This creative method involves the use of Lego® bricks and is based on internationally recognised concepts and theories such as constructivism and storytelling.
The advantage of this method is that each participant is invited to take part in the activities with a positive attitude, providing input and sharing ideas with the rest of the group. However, this method is not just a game, but a serious working tool, which is particularly suitable for tackling complex problems in a collaborative way and for defining the best possible solutions.
Coming up with creative and innovative ideas for a business is a difficult task, but this playful method helped the students to visualise their mini-business ideas in concrete terms and speed up this usually tedious process, all in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
MindForest employs several consultants who are certified Lego® Serious Play® facilitators.
